ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Nick Cable and welcome to my website.
I have been interested in photography for over twenty years now, ever since I first borrowed my father's Praktica SLR and started developing my own black and white pictures.
After graduating at University with a degree in Computer Science, I have worked in the IT industry in a variety of roles. It was, therefore, a natural progression to combine my work with computers and hobby of photography to go digital - and I have now been fully digital for the last seven years.
Living near Taunton in Somerset, this gives me easy access to the Somerset Levels, the Quantocks, and Exmoor National Park where I am often taking pictures on my travels.
I take mostly Landscape and Wildlife images, although I have many other interests which are reflected on this website and I am constantly looking for new subjects.
One of these interests is panoramic photography, where a number of images are stitched together to present a much wider field of view. This format is ideal for landscape views and showing a particular subject in context with its surrounding environment - in fact a full 360° view can be achieved !

The images shown on this website can be supplied in a variety of different formats including greetings cards, prints, framed/mounted pictures to order or electronically for publication.
I regularly undertake commissions for both private and commercial use and my pictures have been published in local magazines, corporate brochures and exhibited throughout Somerset.
All of this has not been possible, I hasten to add, without the encouragement and continued support given by my wife Judy. I am very grateful to her in many ways, especially for the handcrafting of our greetings cards.
